Description
RustSeal Gloss Black Quart is a high-performance, single-component rust preventive coating designed to create an airtight, waterproof seal that stops oxidation and corrosion at the source.
RustSeal flows out to a rock-hard, ceramic-like finish that resists chipping, cracking, peeling, road salts, fuels, oils, acids, and alkalis for long-term protection on automotive, industrial, marine, and household metal surfaces.
For areas exposed to direct sunlight, KBS recommends topcoating RustSeal with an opaque paint system to protect the finish from cosmetic UV-related color and sheen changes.

Typical Applications:
- Frames, chassis, floor pans, trunks, wheel wells, and suspension parts
- Boat trailers, fuel tanks, decks, and marine engine room components
- Heavy transport, steel structures, and industrial equipment
- Pipes, support beams, lawn equipment, and other household metal surfaces
Coverage:
- Approximate coverage for two coats: 50 sq. ft. per quart
- A minimum total dry film thickness of 4-5 mils is recommended
- Apply at least three coats for marine applications or surfaces consistently exposed to water
